Lead R&D Engineer - Robotic Welding

As a Development, Innovation and Support Engineer – Robotic Welding, you will play a central role in the development of our fully automated welding robots, while providing high-quality technical support and proactive customer relations. You will be the technical link between our internal teams and our customers, contributing to Rotoweld’s success with the customer.

• Research and innovation:
  • Lead initiatives to make our welding solutions fully automated.
  • Conduct scientific research to further our understanding of welding technologies.
  • Stay abreast of technological advances and new practices related to welding.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of the automated welding algorithm.
  • Design, develop, and optimize welding processes adapted to our robots.
  • Participate in the development of innovation strategies and continuous product improvement.
• Technical support and customer relations:
  • Work closely with the customer service team to resolve welding-related issues.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to optimize the use of Rotoweld and provide personalized support.

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in an SME.
• Experience in welding (an asset).
